Picking up from the previous post where I suggested some learning sources, I now move on to Lab Equipment.
Here is a map out of lab equipment that is deemed “necessary”:
- Cisco WLC 2106 – expensive if you’re considering just the CCNA Wireless. More justifiable if you plan to pursue the CCNP Wireless and no brainer for CCIE Wireless.

Picking up from the previous post (Wireless Certification Tracks) I’ll be delving in to the various Learning Materials I’ve come across for the first portion of my certification track – the CCNA Wireless.
Recall that the current goal is the CCNP Wireless certification – however, until the CCNA Wireless is under my belt I wont be posting many details concerning the professional Cisco Wireless certification.

I’ve decided to take the plunge into the Wireless world. And as any rookie pondered on which certification to go with.
My initial research (googling) on this matter showed two popular paths:

I’m thinking about the Drakensberg Mountains, and how I enjoyed being there during a 3 day stop between Cape Town and Durban. It was a marvelous time spent, surrounded by all the virgin nature, calmly waiting to entertain our adventurer spirit.
Drakensberg (Afrikaans: Drakensberge, Dutch: Drakensbergen, “the Dragon Mountains“) is the highest mountain range in Southern Africa, rising to 3,482 metres (11,420 ft) in height.(1).
